Counterpoint has over 150 reports, but how many do you use on a regular basis. Every month, we will go over another one of Counterpoint’s powerful built in reports.
This month we will cover the Sales Analysis by Group Report. Anyone who has sat through report training with Amanda knows that this is her favorite report in Counterpoint, but why is that? The Sales Analysis by Group report allows you to group your sales dollars into sections that are pertinent to your business. Here are just a few ways that you can break down your sales using this report:
- Sales by hour of the day
- Sales by day of the week
- Sales by item category
- Sales by item
- Sales by customer category
To choose how your sales are segmented, choose a Group By method:
This report, like many sales reports can also compare periods against each other. How have you done in 2019 compared to 2018 and 2017? To compare date ranges, check the boxes for Report periods B and C.
When you preview the report, it will show you sales broken down by the Group by of your choice, with multiple date ranges for comparison.
