Closing Gift Cards and Store Credits

Gift Cards and Store Credits represent a liability to your business. Depending on the laws that govern your state, you may be able to close these Gift Cards and Store Credits at some point, which limits the liability. For information on gift card laws, use the following resources:

Closing Gift Cards

Voiding Individual Gift Cards

1. From the Launchpad, select System → Gift Cards → Edit Gift Cards
2. Enter or look up the Gift Card #

3. Click Void

Voiding Multiple Gift Cards Based on Last Activity Date

1. From the Launchpad, select System → Gift Cards → Edit Gift Cards
2. Click the Filter icon in the toolbar and customize the filter for Last activity date is on or before

3. Enter the date
4. Click OK

5. Click Void
6. Click the Right Arrow in the tool bar
7. Click Void on next gift card

Closing Gift Cards

1. From the Launchpad, select System → Gift Cards → Close Gift Cards
2. Check the box for:
   a. Fully redeemed gift cards
   b. Close voided gift cards
3. Enter today’s date in all available date fields

4. Click Proceed

Closing Store Credits

Once you have determined if you can close Store Credits, first void store credits that are eligible to be closed, then run the Close Store Credits function.

Voiding Individual Store Credits

1. From the Launchpad, select System → Store Credits → Edit Store Credits
2. Enter or look up the Store credit #

3. Click Void

Click Preview, navigate to the last page, and print only the last page

Voiding Multiple Store Credits Based on Last Activity Date

1. From the Launchpad, select System → Store Credits → Edit Store Credits
2. Click the Filter icon in the toolbar and customize the filter for Last activity date is on or before

3. Enter the date
4. Click OK

5. Click Void
6. Click the Right Arrow in the tool bar
7. Click Void on next store credit

Closing Store Credits

1. From the Launchpad, select System → Store Credits → Close Store Credits
2. Check the box for:
   a. Fully redeemed store credits
   b. Close voided store credits
3. Enter today’s date in all available date fields

4. Click Proceed
