If you need to include additional information on a line-by-line basis in Purchasing and Receiving, you can use Line comments. Each line of a receiver can have up to 3 comments associated with it. These comments are printed on purchasing documents.To add line comments to a purchasing document, such as a Purchase Request or Receiving:
- On the Lines tab, enter or select the line, so that it is highlighted with an arrow to the left of the row.
- If you are using the simplified toolbar click the and choose Line delivery & comments for Purchase Requests or Comments for Receivings from the drop-down
- Enter Comments
- Select any other lines that need comments and complete the purchasing process
